Ahmet is a 15-year-old boy living on a tiny farm in a remote Yuruk village in in North Macedonia. Beset by the demands of caring for his silent younger brother, tending his sheep and handling his overbearing father, he seeks refuge in his enthusiasm for techno music. His music brings him closer to Aya, a local girl recently returned from Germany to be married off to an older man. Uplifted by an extraordinary cast of non-professional actors and a rich soundtrack of regional as well as English language songs, the film blends moments of high comedy with its gentle scrutiny of a conservative rural community.
